Alvi reinforces its presence in Santiago and opens a new store in Peñalolén

This is store number 33 of Alvi, a subsidiary of SMU with local coverage from the Coquimbo Region to Los Lagos.

September 2023.- In a ceremony that included the participation of the mayor of Peñalolén, Carolina Leitao, and the presence of grocers, Alvi, a subsidiary of SMU, inaugurated a new store in the Metropolitan Region. It is a modern 2,020 m2 room that focuses on serving business partners and owners of hotels, restaurants, casinos, among others, in the community.

The new store directly benefits the more than 5,600 merchant partners Alvi has in the commune, reinforcing the presence of the SMU subsidiary in the south-east sector of Santiago, offering grocers in the area a convenient alternative to supply their businesses. . In this way, the SMU subsidiary has a total of 33 stores in the country, with operations from the Coquimbo Region to Los Lagos.

Carlos Jurgensen, Alvi's Operations Manager, highlights that “this inauguration represents a great opportunity for the area, particularly for merchants, owners of warehouses, liquor stores, minimarkets, hotels, restaurants and casinos in the Metropolitan Region, since with this opening they will be able to supply their businesses at very convenient prices, in addition to having the benefits of Club Alvi. This new store reinforces our wholesale arm, offering low-cost products to grocers, which allows them to make their businesses profitable,” he points out.

For her part, the mayor of Peñalolén, Carolina Leitao, highlighted that “it is a great benefit for the commune, also for our small merchants and neighbors who can work in this location close to their homes. It is great news for Peñalolén that this Alvi opens, which can be used by the entire community.”

The new Alvi store, which is located at Av.
