Alvi Opens Its First Store in Quinta Normal

Club Alvi Mayorista, a subsidiary of SMU, has inaugurated a new store in Quinta Normal, marking its first location in the district and the 22nd in the Metropolitan Region.

The new store, located at Av. Joaquín Walker Martínez 1620, spans 1,160 square meters, featuring eight checkout counters and a team of 39 employees ready to serve customers.

“We want to be closer to our business partners in Quinta Normal. With this new store, we aim to help them grow their businesses by offering a better shopping experience, a wide assortment of products, and greater convenience,” said Francisco Gaete, General Manager of Alvi.

This opening marks Alvi’s second launch of 2025, advancing the company’s organic growth plan and bringing the chain to 38 stores nationwide, covering regions from Coquimbo to Los Lagos.

During the recent Alvi Partners’ Meeting held at the Movistar Arena, the company announced 19 additional openings planned before year-end, including a store in Punta Arenas. With this expansion, Alvi will close 2025 with 57 stores, strengthening its national footprint.

“We are proud to have a strong presence not only in Santiago but throughout the country. With these new openings, we are consolidating Alvi as the largest wholesale chain in Chile, expanding into new regions—this year including Punta Arenas,” added Gaete.

The opening ceremony was also attended by Karina Delfino, Mayor of Quinta Normal, who expressed her appreciation for the new store:

“We are happy and grateful for Alvi’s arrival in such a central location in our commune. It’s great news for our residents and local shopkeepers, who play a key role in our neighborhoods. This opening also brings new jobs and supports local entrepreneurship.”

Additionally, Alvi continues to expand its digital shopping options, offering online purchases through its mobile app and website for business partners seeking a faster, more convenient buying process. To date, four stores feature pickup points, allowing customers to collect their online orders at their preferred location.
