SMU Launches Teletón 2025 Gift Card and Renews Its Commitment to Inclusion

For the fifth consecutive year, SMU—parent company of Unimarc, Alvi, and Super10—has launched its Teletón Gift Card, a solidarity-driven initiative that donates 10% of the card’s value to the Teletón Foundation. The campaign will remain active until 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, November 29, and the cards are available at SMU store checkouts or online at www.lagiftcarddechile.cl

How does it work? From the total amount loaded by customers—whether for personal use or as a gift—SMU will contribute 10% directly to Teletón, supporting the operation of its 14 rehabilitation centers across Chile.

“Every year, we reaffirm our commitment to inclusion and to Teletón, a cause that unites all of Chile. Through this campaign, we invite our customers to take part in a simple yet meaningful action: turning an everyday purchase into real help for thousands of families who rely on Teletón,” said Paula Coronel, SMU’s Corporate People & Sustainability Manager.

This year, Teletón once again collaborated with SMU in designing a special edition of the gift card. However, all cards purchased during the campaign—regardless of design—will contribute to the same goal: supporting rehabilitation and care efforts in Teletón’s centers throughout the country.

With this initiative, SMU reinforces its long-standing commitment to social causes and inclusion, adding to other efforts such as the “Unidos” program and ongoing support for various social organizations since 2020.

SMU has been a proud partner of Teletón for 14 years, actively engaging the commitment of its employees throughout Chile. This dedication also extends to its inclusive hiring practices, with 330 employees with disabilities currently working across its different subsidiaries.
